Computer gadgets and the function

Hi . this is the second task for ICT .

it's all about those basic gadget for a computer . 

lets start from the biggest one , the monitor !

MONITOR

CRT monitor

Flat screen monitor

The monitor displays the video and graphics information generated by the computer through the video card or chipset. Monitors are very similar to televisions but display information at a much higher quality.

 MOTHERBOARD

 

 Motherboard takes care of the entire system task in one way or another. It is a go-between of the system. You will find that almost all components are attached to motherboard in one way or another. Without the motherboard these system components would be hard pressed to work.

SPEAKER 

 

The computer speaker is an output device which gives the user auditory feedback regarding the state of the computer. This can be as sophisticated as a 8-channel surround-sound system for playing movies and the like, or as basic as the integrated "beeper speaker" whos only role is indicate critical errors in the boot sequence when video output is not available.

KEYBOARD

 

the keyboard is used to type text and numbers into a word processor, text editor or other program. In a modern computer, the interpretation of keypresses is generally left to the software.

MOUSE

A device that controls the movement of the cursor or pointer on a display screen. A mouse is a small object you can roll along a hard, flat surface. Its name is derived from its shape, which looks a bit like a mouse, its connecting wire that one can imagine to be the mouse's tail, and the fact that one must make it scurry along a surface. As you move the mouse, the pointer on the display screen moves in the same direction

GRAPHIC CARD

a graphics card or graphics processing unit allows fast transfer of information. the graphics card takes the load off of the cpu so that more graphic information can be used.without a graphic card you will not be able to play any recent games that are graphically detailed, fast action, and alot going on at one time. alot of computers have integrated graphics chips which are OK for everyday use and even some games, but if you want the real deal you have to have an excellent graphics card.

SOUND  CARD

  the sound card is to be able to produce sound.sound cards can work with any speakers.
they just produce an audio signal to be reproduced by the speakers.
the speakers usually have built in amps to boost the signal of the sound. (make it louder)

NETWORK CARD

A network card (also called a Network Adapter or Network Interface Card, or NIC for short) acts as the interface between a computer and a network cable. The purpose of the network card is to prepare, send, and control data on the network.
